1. Choose favors with double duty: such as picture frames, notepads, edible favors. Don't waste money on items that are not useful to your guests otherwise you will have lots leftovers or they will only end up in some kitchen drawer.
2. Create a card on each reception table that explains the reason or story for your favor choice if it needs explanation for your guests.
3. Charitable donations in lieu of traditinal favors are the latest now a day!!! Give back to the community and your guests will appreciate not having to take something back with them home and will appreciate the good cause contribution.
4. Don't think there's anything wrong with not giving each other a wedding gift. Getting married to each other is a gift bigger than no other.
5. Do think about giving your parents the best wedding gift possible....that is the gift of picking up the tab for your wedding costs!
